"the cashin look"

Cashin papered the entry walls of her studio with press photographs of models in her designs, photographed in shoots that she directed. Always interested in bodies in motion, she coached her models to move, smile, and "act the part" of the free-spirited, confident woman in her unconventional clothes.

Bonnie Cashin for Sills and Co., 1968.
