cashin-carrys: coach, 1962-1972

Part theorist, storyteller and illustrator, for each ready-to-wear and accessory collection, Cashin drafted an essay outlining her sources of inspiration as well as the colors, materials and silhouettes featured. She suggested the overall spirit of the line by highlighting a color and sketch on the cover.

Highly prized by editors and buyers, these helped Cashin convey her design theories, and shape the press coverage that followed each showing.
