ready-to-wear designs, 1949-1956
This ostrich apron was modeled on the occasion of Cashin earning the 1950 Coty Fashion Critics' Award and the Neiman Marcus Award. Awarded both for her first collection upon her return to ready-to-wear, this was the first time a designer received the two highest fashion industry honors in the same year.
