William Hendricks
William Hendricks is a native Californian who has traveled widely since childhood. His journeys have made him aware of how swiftly traditional texture and cultural nuance vanish in the face of developing technology. For the past nine years, Hendricks has focused his lens on Cuba. He has taken thousands of images of both the famous and infamous, photographs that are a response to the customs and rituals that define the spiritual life of this island nation.
Hendricks teaches in the fine arts department at Ventura College. He has been working with photography, text, and image on computers, creating innovative new techniques in the book arts field.
