Barbara Drucker
Barbara Drucker received her M.F.A. from UCLA, where she is currently the chair of the Department of Art. During 1996-2001 Drucker was the founder/director of The Living Room, an alternative exhibition space in Santa Monica. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at sites including the Mazzocchi Gallery, Parma, Italy; Academy of Fine Arts, Brescia, Italy; Kulturzentrum bei den Minoriten, Graz, Austria; Kennedy Gallery, Athens, Greece; and Center for Book Arts, New York.

"Five anonymous notebook pages, found on the street in front of my house, altered and transformed into a series of scrolls. The title of the piece, A God of Love, was taken from some words on the pages. The words and the form obviously reference sacred texts."
