"My book work echoes the three-dimensional, energetic forms present in a wide range of my works in other media. I want the image to expand outward, playfully, and escape the confines of a two-dimensional plane and yet remain a book. I have always been fascinated with the game of reality versus illusion in art, pictorial space to be usurped by real space. This has been a recurring theme in my art."
